The Family Class of Immigration aims at Family reunification by allowing Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their dependent children, parents and grandparents, and spouse or common-law partner or conjugal partner.
You can sponsor your following family member if found eligible to be a sponsor:
- Spouse, common-law partner
- Parents & Grandparents
- Dependent Child
- Orphaned close blood relatives under 18 and other close family member subject to certain conditions
To be eligible as a Sponsor,you must be
- at least 18 years of age;
- a permanent resident living in Canada or a Canadian citizen;
- admissible to Canada & must not be barred from being a sponsor on any grounds.
