The Super Visa is a multi-entry visa given to Parents & Grandparents of Permanent Residents & CItizens of Canada, that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years.You can stay for a period of up to two consecutive years at their initial visit without having to renew their status.
To be eligible for Super Visa, an applicant must be :
- be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
- have a signed letter from your child or grandchild who invites you to Canada that includes:
- a promise of financial support for the length of your visit
- the list and number of people in the household of this person
- a copy of this person’s Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document
- have medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that is:
- must be valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry
- must have at least $100,000 coverage
- must have receipt to show as proof of payment of medical insurance
- applicant must submit the application for a super visa from outside Canada
- must be admissible to enter Canada
- must clear medical exam & meet certain conditions applicable to you.
To be eligible to be Sponsor,The child/grandchild who invites you must prove that his household meets the minimum income requirements as per Low Income Cut-off (LICO) Table and that can be proved with the help of following documents :
- T4/T1 of the most recent tax year / Notice of Assessment from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
- Bank statements
- Employment Verification letter mentioning joining date and salary.
- Pay stubs
- Other conditions to be considered:
- Your purpose of visit to Canada.
- Your country’s overall economic and political stability.
- Your family condition and financial stability
- Your ties to your home country.
